Kerry-Ann Richards is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New York and New Jersey. She graduated from Stony Brook University with her Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a concentration in child and family studies. Kerry-Ann earned a Master’s Degree in social work from Adelphi University. She is also trained in a range of treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Multisystemic Family Therapy(MFT), Reunification Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy (SFT)
Kerry-Ann has worked in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. She has over 15 years of experience working with families of children that were subjected to neglect and abuse; separating and divorcing families; adolescents with behavioral issues; and individuals dealing with substance use issues.
Kerry-Ann’s focus is to provide a safe, confidential, supportive, compassionate and balanced experience to individuals, couples, and families. Her treatment modality includes but not limited to anxiety, crisis intervention, depression, family issues, sexual abuse, trauma, child abuse/neglect, peer issues, self-esteem, promotion of child and adolescent connection in their families; and behavioral management within home, school or the community.
